How to Import Contacts to WhatsApp from CSV or Excel Files

Preparing Your Contact File

Supported Formats

Phone Number Formatting

Phone numbers should include the country code without the + sign or spaces:

Step-by-Step Import Process

• Total contacts found
• Valid numbers (ready to import)
• Invalid numbers (skipped with reasons)

Click "Import" to add the valid contacts to your BulkWA contact list.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

"Invalid phone number" errors:

• Make sure numbers include the country code
• Remove any letters or special characters
• Check that numbers have the correct length for their country

"Duplicate detected":

• BulkWA skips contacts that already exist in your list
• This is by design to prevent sending duplicate messages

"File format not supported":

• Ensure the file extension is .csv or .xlsx
• If using Google Sheets, download as CSV first (File > Download > CSV)

"Column not mapped":

• If BulkWA doesn't auto-detect your columns, click the column header to manually assign it
